Large energy system today, local production tomorrow.
What are local energy systems?
Local energy systems enable communities to become self-sufficient with electricity from renewable sources, such as solar cells on roofs or small wind turbines.
We’re renewing Simris
In the village of Simris in southern Sweden, we have created Sweden’s first local energy system. During a trial period, the village will be completely self-sufficient every fifth week, using locally produced electricity from renewable sources.
Live from Simris
Take a peek at the Simris local energy system! We have created a real-time production visualization, showing the different parts of the system. You can also dig deeper into the technology behind.
